About the tool

Thank you for your interest in TRFilter, a tool we developed to mute, block and document online harassment for journalists and media practitioners. Following changes to the way Twitter operates, TRFilter is unfortunately no longer operational.

As journalists are increasingly targeted by online violence to discredit or silence their reporting, it has never been more important to protect the free flow of information and our fundamental human rights. Which is why our work to advance media freedom around the world is growing.

Using our combination of media and legal expertise and our learnings from TRFilter, online safety will continue to be a core element of our training, our research and our products.
